7260 Davos, Gruobenalp

In the middle of the slopes of Davos / Klosters you find the Gruobenalp. It is an Alp with a lovely, rustic ski hut (restaurant). When we were entering this place the staff was welcoming us very friendly, this even during rush hour. They have hangers on the ceiling to hang up the ski helmet. This is a great idea. From the menu you can choose

all kind of heavy Swiss food. I had a Bündner Gerstensuppe (soup made of barley). It was probably one of the best barley soups I have had. Also when you leave the restaurant the staff is saying goodbye and if the boss has some time, she is having a little small talk. When talking to their employees it did not really sound too lovely. They only accept cash.

Men's Toilet:

The toilets are easy to find and you cannot miss the right one (men or women). The toilets were well maintained and I like the toilet roll holder. The soap dispenser can be used touch-less (sensor), well done.
